City of Detroit and Rocket Community Fund Announce $2.2 Million Investment to Advance Housing Stability Network in Detroit
The City of Detroit, Rocket Community Fund, and CHN Housing Partners today announced investments into a network of six Detroit-based nonprofits to provide wide-ranging housing and financial stability services to Detroit residents.
Along with the City of Detroit, the Rocket Community Fund is investing a joint $5 million investment in the Rehabbed & Ready program, a public-private partnership that renovates homes, creates new homeowners and increases access to financing in Detroit neighborhoods.
Research supported by Poverty Solutions at the University of Michigan that shows how the Make It Home Repair program has helped homeowners with low incomes complete major home repair projects that improve the quality and safety of their housing and increase their chances of remaining in their homes long term.
The Quicken Loans Community Fund today announced that 557 properties entered Make It Home in 2019, bringing the program’s total to 1,157 families.
