Virtual food drive raises over 950,000 meals for families in need, with Redfin and Mr. Cooper joining the effort for the first time
This year, our Rocket team members stepped up to make an impact in a record-breaking show of support for food banks in our home communities!
Our annual Holiday Giving Campaign expanded to include our newest team members and markets, along with an extra match bonus from Rocket Community Fund. This helped us achieve unprecedented results this November, bringing together team members from Rocket Companies, Redfin, and Mr. Cooper in our most impactful virtual food drive to date.
The Numbers That Matter
From November 3-14, our expanded community rallied to support families facing food insecurity:
- 1,103 individual donations from team members
- $236,385 in total impact (including RCF’s 2:1 match)
- 951,842 meals delivered across North America
““What I’m most proud of is how our people showed up. More than 1,100 team members gave, and with our 2:1 match, those individual acts of generosity added up to nearly one million meals for families across North America,” said Denine Ngoyi, Sr. Program Manager for Team Member Giving at Rocket Community Fund. “That’s the power of coming together around something that truly matters.”
Team members in our home communities also have additional opportunities to make an impact by participating in Adopt-A-Family or donating supplies to partner nonprofits
Growing Our Reach
This milestone campaign expanded to seven markets across the United States and Canada, including two exciting debuts. Dallas joined the effort for the first time, with team members supporting North Texas Food Bank to generate over 4,800 meals. Seattle also made its inaugural appearance, with donations to White Center Food Bank providing nearly 2,000 meals to Pacific Northwest families.
Detroit continued its strong leadership with 760 donations to Gleaners Community Food Bank, providing nearly 143,000 meals to Michigan families. Cleveland, Phoenix, our National category (supporting Feeding America), and Canada rounded out our geographic impact, each contributing thousands of meals to their local communities.
Multiplying Impact
Rocket Community Fund doubled our match bonus this year, so with our 2:1 matching commitment we transformed every dollar donated into triple the impact. Combined with varying meal conversion rates across partner food banks—from Feeding America’s impressive 10 meals per dollar to Gleaners’ 3 meals per dollar—each contribution was optimized to serve local needs and operational efficiencies.
The 2025 campaign represents a 353% increase in total meals provided compared to 2024, demonstrating the strength that comes from bringing new partners, markets and team members into our community commitment. Our expanded impact reflects both organizational growth and unwavering dedication to fighting hunger where we live and work. But Ngoyi said the impact goes deeper than that. “This campaign shows what’s possible when we grow with intention. Providing 353% more meals than last year wasn’t just about expanding to new markets—it was about deepening our commitment to the communities we’re part of,” she explained. “Every partnership and every dollar helped multiply the impact for families facing hunger.”
Beyond the Numbers
We were so impressed by the record-breaking participation this year, but while numbers are important, the true impact goes beyond what can be counted. Each meal represents hope sustained for families facing food insecurity during a challenging season.
